What we collect
We collect information you give us directly, through three places on this site:
- The contact form — your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.
- The confidential intake form — your name and contact information, along with details about your restaurant and its financials that you choose to share with us.
- The readiness quiz — your answers to the quiz questions, and your email address if you ask us to send you your results.
We don't require an account to use this site, and we don't collect payment information anywhere — none of the tools here involve a transaction.
How we use it
We use what you share to respond to you directly — to answer a question, to follow up on an intake submission, or to send quiz results if you asked for them. If you submit the intake form, we use the details you provide to understand your restaurant and evaluate whether a direct acquisition conversation makes sense. We don't use your information for anything beyond what you submitted it for.
Confidentiality of your submissions
Submitting the intake form doesn't list your restaurant anywhere, publicly or privately, and doesn't commit you to anything. We treat every submission as confidential: it's seen only by the people directly involved in evaluating it, and it isn't shared with brokers, marketplaces, or other third parties.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information to anyone. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We don't use it to contact you about anything other than what you reached out to us for.
Cookies and analytics
This site may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful and how visitors move through the site — the kind of aggregate, non-identifying information that helps us improve the content, not track individuals. If that changes to include more detailed tracking or advertising cookies, we'll update this policy to say so plainly.
How long we keep it
We keep the information from a submission for as long as it's useful to the conversation it relates to. If you'd like us to delete your information, ask — see the contact details below.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we have from you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also simply choose not to fill out a form — nothing on this site requires it to read the articles, take the quiz, or use the valuation tool.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmitting or storing information online is perfectly secure, but we don't treat that as an excuse — confidential submissions are handled with real care.

If we materially change how we collect or use your information, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
