Restaurant Succession exists because too many good restaurants disappear not from failure, but from a succession that never got planned.
We started by looking closely at Louisiana's restaurant landscape — the multi-generation family kitchens, the single-owner institutions, the places that have quietly fed the same neighborhoods for decades. What we found was a pattern: many of these restaurants had aging owners, no clear successor, and no real plan for what comes next.
That gap is where good businesses quietly disappear — not because they failed, but because nobody built a bridge between "the owner is ready to step back" and "the right person is ready to take over."
